Study of visibility and perception from a coastal bluff under changing atmospheric conditions.

Insight: Revealed how light, weather, and distance influence perception of the environment.

China Cabinet

Interior study of a large object dominating a confined space. Weighted to the bottom of the frame, the object casts a form shadow, reinforcing presence. Reflective glass suggests surrounding space.

Ravenshire Castle

Redesigned a modular castle environment for stealth and social gameplay using a custom isometric engine (Fliso).

-Developed style guides to emphasize interactive assets and character readability.
-Coordinated with engineers on environment and foreground proposals.

Developed real-time environments, UI, and animation assets for Viacom, EA Sports, Scholastic, and Discovery Channel.

Created paint-overs and textures for 360° panoramic environments. Refined 3D proxy geometry into intuitive interactive elements.

Duck Studios

Imitation of Life

Animated short film directed by Mathias Poledna, Austrian Pavilion, Venice Biennale

Created digital keys and watercolor production backgrounds in the style of 1930s Disney animation. Researched early Disney techniques and the director’s oeuvre to inform visual style. For more, view the Film Art page.

The Little Prince

Animated feature directed by Mark Osborne and Jamie Caliri

Contracted to refine select stop-motion scenes for director Jamie Caliri.

Before: Director requested a more ‘epic’ feel

After: Paint-over served as reference for final stop-motion animation.


3D Studio Character Study (1995): Winston Churchill

Self-directed modeling exercise using 3D Studio (DOS), between productions. Worked with manual vertex manipulation and custom bump mapping to capture organic form within strict polygon and software constraints.
